Every reliable translation company will provide translation in line with a multi-step procedure using the right terminology and running compliance checks against the source text, and ensuring linguistic, technical and formal correctness. But each piece of translation is made for a reason and is meant for a particular audience. That is why quality measured by translation companies’ standards is indeed a prerequisite, but it does not suffice. We provide something more — openness to dialogue and feedback, which is otherwise employed rather infrequently in the industry. For more than a dozen years our translations have been reviewed and assessed not only by other translators (which is the industry standard), but also by the final customers' experts: engineers — since they know the described devices inside out; salespeople — since they will give their customers the documentation translated by our team; creative directors — since they are responsible for the final marketing message; or doctors — since a mistake in this type of translation can cost human lives. For us, such review and open dialogue processes with the customer’s reviewer is the most valuable quality assurance component. It gives us confidence that our text not only meets formal and linguistic requirements, but also corresponds to the target audience’s expectations.
For over a dozen years, we have worked directly with businesses which may, without exaggeration, be called global giants in their industries. That is why we understand perfectly how important it is for the service provider to fit into the customer’s structures and procedures. We do not insist on using our own tools and procedures. If required, we can work with your systems, on your platforms and in line with your billing system, organisational structure or file naming conventions. When needed, such as when there are information confidentiality requirements, our translators can travel to another country or even another continent to work at your headquarters. And when necessary, we can contact your local distributor in Poland. If you request translations to be performed by the same translator or translator team, we can cater for this and enable direct contact with the relevant individuals. We can adapt to almost any work model, from casual cooperation to strict integration of our team into the customer’s business structure.
From the very beginning of each project we facilitate work in a small and stable team with advanced linguistic and technical competencies. Our translators, reviewers, engineers and project managers cooperate with a narrow group of experienced freelance translators from all over Poland. We know all our freelancers personally, and major new projects are preceded by meetings and training sessions in our office or at the customer’s site. It is not unusual for our translators to travel to California to see new devices before their official launch, or to Hamburg to participate in training organised for us by a Japanese analytical equipment manufacturer. Moreover, we run a closed discussion forum to allow for the exchange of terminology questions and information, with access often provided to the consumer’s consultants. As a result, all of us — including our customers — work together and learn new things on a daily basis.
Our company was set up in 2000 by an already immensely experienced translator whose professional track record includes designing industrial controllers and selling specialised CAD software. Ryszard has been professionally involved in writing technical documentation and translation since the early 1990s. In the “golden era” of IT literature, he translated over a dozen books and was an author of two, including a well-received programming guide that is still appreciated. Our company experienced dynamic yet stable development. Initially, our staff consisted of engineers with linguistic competencies working as technical and biomedical translators. Over time, linguists and translators from other specialist fields were added to our workforce. We have been cooperating with our key customers for over a dozen years and our first customers, just like our first employees, are still with us. In 2010, we were the first Polish company to pass the LICS certification audit, which confirmed the conformity of our services to the EN 15038:2006 standard (now superseded by ISO 17100), and in 2019 our quality management system was certified for compliance with ISO 9001 and 13485 standards. To be able to successfully follow our philosophy, we are almost obsessive about reliability and security: we maintain a fully equipped backup office, we have fast redundant Internet connections and our own power generator, and every year we commission an external institution to perform a security audit of our network systems. After nearly 20 years in the business, we know that openness, adherence to procedures and partner relationships with customers and translators forge stability and success.
